Storytelling Arts: Theories of Contemporary Art from Situated Knowledge
This research explores the production of contemporary artistic and theoretical narratives that integrate multiple languages and emerge from interdisciplinary and intersectional perspectives. At its core, the study focuses on storytelling artworks—entangled in fictions, autofictions, and critical fables—produced from localized knowledge and articulated through enunciative voices inscribed within the discourse as a written presence of/with the body. Within this framework, the research examines a distinct lexical field, associating embodied knowledge with the triad of visuality, orality, and textuality. By doing so, it investigates how singular, diverse, and plural enunciative spaces take shape, articulating narratives that reflect states of being in the world and underscoring the inseparable connections between art and life.
